Chiron Conjunct Venus – Transit

At this point of the journey when Chiron forms this engulfing aspect by transit, the nature of Venus (in whichever sign it is natally/at birth) becomes altered by being asked to question the way in which it has expressed itself up until this point – in the context of relationships, personal style, and views of the represented feminine aspects of ourselves.

As Chiron has a robust ability to accelerate the healing (post-wounding) process, usually it is early on within the transit (2-3 degrees before exact conjunction) that awareness to this area is drawn in order to increase the time to take a hard look at ourselves and then take the steps to become more whole.

Examples of these realisations appear may take the form of;
a Fiery Venus could be challenged to take more of a backseat in their mode of expression with others or seemingly becoming others’ second priority,
an Earthy Venus may be more likely to find physical/literal flaws in relationship, monetary status and self, whereas
an Airy Venus may take an alternate look at the self-concept and wonder why they’ve been thinking about who they are and have been wanting to be seen like for so long, and
a Watery Venus may feel increased sense of hurt from significant others/the public and particularly from those that matter.

Whatever the passage, the ‘hurt’ or ‘inferior’ aspects about our attractiveness come to surface. The increased awareness of our lacks, perceived imperfections, often along with a hardened view of our worth and relational capacities will often create heightened feelings of anxiety and confusion surrounding socialising and how we interact with the outside world – whether this expression manifests through conversation, our art/creative outlets, or relationships. We may be forced to look at how much we are truly valuing ourselves, are we allowing in too much to be validated? Am I taking on too much for too little?

For instance, in the upcoming years as Chiron passes through Aries, when it encounters a Venus in Aries (within 2-3 degrees), attitudes surrounding one’s more courageous, impulsive and almost child-like expression of femininity may be forced to look at how to be truly courageous instead of appearing this way. In this day and age, for many, becoming more vulnerable, nurturing, receptive and open may be the most fiercely courageous act a woman can partake in. It may be a time of softening up after realising the usual ability to attract and express no longer fits anymore. Something may feel off, we may feel too masculine, we may realise we’ve undervalued the soft and considered it inferior or weak.
This is simply a mere example of the way in which the healer may appear.

  • Ugh, thank you. Needed to read this.
    I do have an aries venus and this is EXACTLY how this tranist is starting to manifest for me.
    The other day this floated up in my mind – ‘Excitement is too easy an indulgence. Challenge yourself with vulnerability and softness.’

    Thanks again.
